RamSoc reunion 2001
Some 24 former RamSoc members from around 1969-1973 got together in Nottingham in July 2001.
Organised by Brian and Kay Hughes (nee Shirley), the reunion was held at Florence Nightingale Hall at the University from Friday 20th to Sunday 22nd July.
Friday evening saw the renewal of old friendships. In some cases people had not seen each other for 20 or 30 years.
Saturday featured a walk from the Fox House Inn over Stanage Edge and back, before a formal dinner at FN in the evening. Some of the people at the reunion had been in FN whilst at University - and of course it was girls only then.
On Sunday there was a walk up and over Kinder Scout, which for many was the personification of RamSoc, before saying goodbye.
More events are planned, perhaps meeting annually for a walking weekend, and a formal dinner every four or five years.
